Helping people to be at ease with their bodies
Hi everyone, I’m Jessie Mae, and I am the owner of Mae We Move Pilates. I’d love to share a bit about my journey and how MWM came to be.
I began teaching Pilates in a physiotherapy clinic, where movement was used as an active form of rehabilitation. Working alongside physiotherapists gave me a deep understanding of the body, and I quickly saw how transformative intentional movement and precise alignment can be.
While my foundation is rooted in rehab, I’ve also spent years teaching both group fitness and group Pilates. Over time, I’ve been drawn deeper into the classical Pilates method, which now strongly influences my training and approach.
For the past four years, I’ve focused exclusively on private and semi-private sessions in my studio; this is something that truly feels like my calling. Working one-on-one allows for a deeply personalized experience, and it’s incredibly rewarding to witness the progress that’s possible when sessions are tailored to each body.
Teaching movement has been a long-standing passion of mine. Alongside my Pilates certifications, I’ve completed my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training and a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist certification, further shaping the way I support my clients.
This adaptable, holistic approach to movement, healing, and well-being continues to inspire me to evolve. My goal is to help people feel stronger, more connected, and at ease in their bodies.
I’m so grateful to share this practice that I love so much with both new and returning clients.
Mae we all move with purpose, ease & joy.
